integrated home controllers that brings simplicity to lighting
control, home theater control and whole house audio/video
systems.
Lighting - Probably the
most popular control category and a great way to get involved
with home automation. All fixtures can now be controlled "handsfree"
or from anywhere in the house (or world via the Internet).
Home Theater & Entertainment
- Family went from 10 remotes to one and a web pad. Now, instead
of having to know all the steps to starting up the custom
home theater - the family just presses the DVD button and
the home automation automatically does the rest. Built-in
speakers are especially popular with homeowners as they provide
beautiful sound throughout the house while adding no clutter
whatsoever.
Phone Systems - Phone systems
which are usually used for small business applications are
surprisingly convenient in the home. With caller ID and a
home automation controller, the family can even screen calls
for only those they wish to cause the phone to ring.
HVAC - Remote control thermostats
allow the family to adjust the temperature from bed at night
or even based on which rooms are occupied.
Other stuff: Fireplaces, pools, fountains,
sprinklers...if it can be controlled, we can automate it.
